Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She grew up as part of an multiethnic family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and Sri Lankan. Padukone was her mother was the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played badminton in National level competitions. She later resigned her professional career to become a fashion model. Padukone is born in Mangalorean heritage and her native language is Konkani. Her family ancestors are from the town of Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. The father of her, Prakash Padukone, is an ex-badminton player with global repute. Her mother is a travel agent.
